Aerial Arts America (AAA) commenced its scholarship program in 2015. In keeping with its mission to develop, maintain and promote high and safety standards in aerial arts, the scholarship program is one of the four (4) programs, in particular, funds tuition and other education needs of deserving talented and promising aerial arts students.
Money is raised though fundraising activities including AAA’s Festival and Certification programs, and hopefully, we obtain donations to specifically fund this program. The scholarship grant is offered exclusively to participants of the West Coast Aerial Arts Festival for that specific year. The selection process involves review of the application form, coupled with an in-person audition or review of criteria stemming from their WCAAF performance routine.
AAA not only pays much attention to scholar applicants, but also to scholastic scholarship providers, the latter of which undergo a vetting process. To learn more about the how to become an approved vendor:
Audition selection process is based on:
- Technique: Flexibility – Strength – Execution – Shape/ Form
- Artistry and Creativity
- Interview / Application Questionnaire
The audition is exclusively for participants of the West Coast Aerial Arts Festival for that specific year..
Selection as a scholar is contingent upon acceptance of the grant money, as outlined in this Letter of Acceptance template.
