Mariana Fernandez Prieto

Mariana Fernández is a performing artist specializing in aerial acrobatics and contemporary dance. She began her professional formation in contemporary dance in Mexico before expanding her studies in Europe, completing advanced training at Cirko Vertigo in Italy and Arc en Cirque in France.

Her career bridges performance and education. As an artist, she has performed with dance and circus companies in Mexico and abroad, and her work has been featured in international festivals across Europe, the Americas, and Canada. She also co-directs the companies Otra Vez Lunes and 9 Gramos, and has collaborated as choreography director with NonGratos Teatro, creating projects with young people in vulnerable situations in Mexico and Spain.

As an educator, Mariana teaches aerial acrobatics internationally and has served as faculty for professional circus programs, including the Circus Bachelor’s Degree at Cirko de Mente and other training platforms in Mexico and Europe. Her teaching practice reflects her diverse artistic background, combining the discipline of dance with the technical and creative demands of circus.
