With over two decades of experience in aerial arts, movement education, performance, and artistic creation, Dana Augustin is an internationally recognized aerial silks artist, certified teacher, choreographer, and movement educator.
She began her aerial journey in 2000 and has been actively teaching, performing, and developing her pedagogical approach since 2003. In 2008, she graduated from the prestigious Centre National des Arts du Cirque (CNAC) in France, specializing in Aerial Silks, following her degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Slovenia in 2005. Her background combines high-level circus education with a strong artistic and choreographic foundation, creating a unique approach that merges technical precision, movement awareness, and artistic research.
Dana is a certified Aerial Silks teacher as well as a certified Yoga, Aerial Yoga, and Face Yoga instructor. Over the years, she has developed an extensive teaching methodology focused on movement mechanics, alignment precision, structured progressions, technical refinement, mobility, strength development, and micro-movement conditioning techniques. Her work emphasizes body awareness, movement economy, meaning the development of efficient movement patterns through precise and systematic training methods.
She leads international workshops, masterclasses, retreats, and teacher training programs across Europe and worldwide, while also teaching private classes and online programs to students from around the globe. Her teaching includes Aerial Silks, Aerial Workout, micromovement practices, Yoga, Aerial Yoga, and Face Yoga.
Throughout her artistic career, Dana has collaborated with numerous collectives, choreographers, directors, and multidisciplinary artists, performing in a wide range of contemporary circus productions, artistic projects, festivals, and international events. Her work is deeply rooted in contemporary and experimental circus, with a strong emphasis on movement quality, research, and artistic expression.
Through both her artistic and teaching work, Dana is dedicated to helping students and performers build strong technical foundations while developing greater body awareness, movement control, coordination, and creative freedom.
